Dutch Baby Pancakes

This recipe is from "The Cookbook for Kids".

Ingredients

Butter - 6 tbsp
Eggs - 4
Milk - 1 cup
Flour - 1 cup
Icing Sugar - for dusting

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.  Divide the butter among 5 small bowls and place them in the preheating oven.
  2. Crack the eggs into a blender and blend on low speed. Add milk, then flour, blending while going.
  3. Remove the bowls from the oven. Use a pastry brush to spread the butter along the sides.
  4. Pour the batter into the bowls.  Cook for about 20 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve the pancakes when they are still hot.
Liam's notes
  • Put hot bowls on a plate before serving.
  • Loosen the pancake and flip the bowl to get it out and make it easier to eat.
  • The recipe called to put berries on before cooking, but we didn't have any, so we skipped them.
